Would You Rather Own The Invisibility Cloak, The Resurrection Stone Or The Elder Wand? @ 1/30/2011 11:33:00 PM

Day 27 - Would You Rather Own The Invisibility Cloak, The Resurrection Stone Or The Elder Wand?

I would rather own The Invisibility Cloak because it would allow me to do highly inappropriate things, like stalk David Thewlis. But in all seriousness, the meaning behind the cloak really resonates with me. I like the idea of not thinking about death as if it is an enemy to be feared. We should leave this world willingly, with dignity and seeing death as an equal. It reminds of the song If I Die Young by The Band Perry. One of the lyrics says "I've had just enough time". I really love this line, it's true that everybody has the exact amount of time in this world that was intended for them. Sometimes it may seem like life was cruelly ripped away from people, but I'm beginning to think that that is not the case. Fearing death does nobody any good. I'd rather live my life, knowing that I could die any moment, but not live in fear. There is a difference between living in fear and anticipation of death, and acknowledging that it is inevitable, but does not rule our lives.

Until next time fellow humans....
